With cameras in hand, we’ll explore the trails of Laudholm Farm. Join us for a special walk of the trails in this 2,200 acre historic place where we will enjoy and capture in photos the barrier beaches, meadows, forest, wetlands, streams and wildlife, as they begin their slide into winter.
There will be plenty of time to ask questions about your own camera so bring it along. You'll learn how to use settings you may not know your camera has, what equipment you need for landscapes and close-ups, and the techniques you use to get the best possible results.

Come learn about the life history and habitats of native and migratory owls in Maine. We will visit with York County Audubon’s Northern Saw-whet owl banding project, which studies this little native owl each fall at the Wells Reserve. With any luck, the ornithologists will be able to show the group a live owl up close. The program will conclude with a walk in the autumn woods to practice owl calls and listen for their haunting replies.
This program is for ages 10 and up. Please dress to be outside and wear sturdy walking shoes.
