WELLS RESERVE SEEKS DOCENTS, OFFERS TRAINING

WELLS, MAINE - The Wells Reserve is offering training sessions for people who enjoy sharing natural and cultural history information with curious audiences. No experience or special expertise is necessary. The Wells Reserve offers full training and "job shadowing" with knowledgeable volunteers.

Each summer, volunteer naturalists and tour guides introduce hundreds of tourists and local residents to the many faces of the Wells Reserve. The guided tours focus on specific topics and usually last about 2 hours.

Upcoming trainings will cover nature and signs of wildlife on June 19, wildflowers on June 20, trees on June 24, history on June 25, and salt marshes on June 26. Each training starts at 9 am and lasts about 3 hours.

Volunteers may attend as many sessions as they like, but reservations are required. To sign up or learn more, call Ellen McCann at 207-646-1555 ext 110.
